Keli Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) who is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Ms. Thomas earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and went on to complete her master’s in social work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Keli has gained extensive hands-on experience working with diverse populations across clinical settings. She supported high-risk patients at Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center, a maximum-security psychiatric facility, where she developed strong crisis management skills and ways to provide holistic therapeutic support. She further expanded her clinical expertise while working at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (JLG-RICA). While in this role at JLG-RICA, she specifically worked with adolescents and their families by conducting intake assessments, facilitating individual, family, and group therapy, and developing individualized treatment plans. As part of a multidisciplinary team, she helped foster a safe and supportive environment that promoted patient growth and long-term wellness.

Keli has experience treating individuals facing challenges such as emotion regulation, depression, anxiety, impulsivity, and complex parent-child relationships. She specializes in working with both adolescents and adults, utilizing evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. Keli is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, develop coping strategies, and build resilience toward lasting change.
